Susan grew up in Scarborough, Ontario with three older brothers she continually competed against. As they brought home a slew of hockey trophies, she was not about to be outdone. At 7, she was determined to see her own trophies alongside those of her brothers and quickly proved her athletic prowess at the Scarborough Track Meet – without a track coach or the proper running shoes.
Susan was proud of the trophies she accumulated over the years but when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 24, her neurologist advised her not to do anything to exert herself physically, avoid stress, and not to have children. In that moment, her future became uncertain as there was no way to predict the course the disease would take.
Susan did not follow all the advice she was given – 7 years and 4 months after the diagnosis, her daughter, Julia, was born. And after limiting herself for 30 years, she made the commitment to push herself physically to see what she could accomplish. Her decision to train for a triathlon was quite literally her “Game Changer.” Shifting her mindset and implementing specific strategies were the keys to her success.
As an avid student of personal development for more than 25 years, Susan has always been intrigued by high performance and what differentiates goal achievers from everyone else. Her journey into helping others develop themselves was a natural progression.
Susan is driven to help people break through the barriers that are holding them back so they can live the life of their dreams. The techniques and concepts she employs positively impact all areas of her clients’ lives. She has worked with athletes, corporate leaders, and sales professionals in their quest to achieve their measure of success.
